Amy with Columbia Gorge Chocolates was just such a dream to work with! She was organized, thoughtful, and very kind in all of our communications. Amy went above and beyond what my partner and I even dreamed of for our small wedding cake and dessert table. I sent Amy a few inspo photos and she produced such a beautiful work of art, which fit in perfectly with the color scheme of the whole wedding. Everyone raved about the treats, especially the chocolate cookies, various fruit tarts, and the white chocolate raspberry donuts! We can’t wait to visit when we are back in Hood River. Absolutely incredible wedding cake!! We sent some inspirational photos to help design the style of wedding cake for our destination intimate wedding and I could not have been happier with how it turned out. Everything was via email or phone calls since Oregon was a destination wedding for us, and everyone was so responsive and helpful. Not only was our cake beautiful and exactly what we wanted, but the actual cake itself was amazing! We chose one layer of their salted caramel flavor (trust me, wayyyy better than the description!) and we were told the chocolate cake was amazing but was not chosen often for wedding cakes but since it’s my favorite flavor, of course I tried it for our second smaller layer. Trust me when I say, if you love chocolate, get the chocolate!! Obviously they changed the frosting to make one cohesive look but it was delicious. Literally all 19 people said it was one of the best wedding cakes they have ever had, even those who don’t typically eat sweets or cake. I HIGHLY recommend this bakery for your special day!
We had our wedding cake and desserts made with Blossom baking and I’m truly at a loss for words at how perfect everything was. My grandparents passed away when I was younger and I wanted to have a piece of them there with me on my wedding day so I used their cake topper from 1947. This cake truly brought me to tears, not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous but it gave me a piece of my family as well. All of the desserts were so popular we didn’t even need the end of night to go containers. The cake was so delicious and I was seen several times running away to the corner to eat the tarts. Seriously if you are getting married in the area I urge you to make the smart decision and go with this bakery. I am looking forward to ordering a cake annually to celebrate my anniversary with this amazing dessert.
Amy with Blossom Baking made the cake for our wedding in Oct. 2024, and we’re so happy with how everything turned out. Amy was so easy to work with and made the whole process a breeze. She absolutely nailed the flowers on our cake (they matched our other florals perfectly). We ended up with three different flavors of cake, after many rounds of cake tasting, and we got lots of compliments from our guests (the pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese mousse was a huge hit). It was such a pleasure to work with Amy, and we’re looking forward to ordering from her again for our anniversary in the following years so we can revisit the (literal and metaphorical) sweet memories from our special day! We loved working with Amy for our wedding reception desserts on July 4th at Mt. View Orchards! We decided to do a dessert bar instead of a cake. She made the whole process so smooth and prepared a tasting box several months before our event to help us pick what we wanted. Everyone loved the desserts, everything was so tasty and she made setup and take down a breeze. She easily accommodated having several gluten free options including a cupcake which was so good! We can’t thank her enough and highly recommend!

We did a full cupcake tasting set, which was such a fun and generous way to choose flavors, and the delivery to our venue on the big day was completely seamless. Coming from a big cake family this was one of the wedding details I was most excited about, and it exceeded expectations. The cake was incredible, and we even took leftovers with us on our getaway weekend and happily enjoyed it for days after. Highly, highly recommend Blossom Baking especially the carrot cake!!

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the strawberries and cream cake; it was such a hit! It was a particularly hot day, so our cake photos show a little melting (totally no fault of hers!), but everything still tasted incredible.
